Casper

Casper

We initially foster Casper from him being 5 months old. He was being bullied by the cats in his foster home at the time & we could see why... He was the softest timid little thing! But once he got to know us he really came out of his shell & made a habit of having a 5am party, running around our bedroom and jumping on us until we woke up! When somebody got in contact about adopting him we realised just how much we'd fallen in love with the little guy & simply could not let him go so we adopted him! :)
Unofficially we celebrate his birthday on Halloween with him being a ghost cat & all ! :) He's now 2 years old, very independent but the most loveable loyal boy ever. He's definitely our 'baby'.
The process of adoption with DCH was easy but thorough. They really care about the animals in their care & want the best for each & everyone of them. Thank you DCH for giving us our forever fur baby! Brooke & Joey xxx

Obi (AKA Ethan) and Luna (AKA Gracie)

Obi (AKA Ethan) and Luna (AKA Gracie)

Thanks to DCH we have adopted these two beautiful fur babies last year. The amount of joy and Love they have brought to our lives have been unimaginable. We are so blessed to have them in our lives. Mummy & Daddy Loves You

Muffin

Muffin

I adopted Muffin 3 years ago, as a kitten. She seemed so fearless when I brought her home, I called her Tiger. My other cat Geoffrey was in cat heaven with this new toy! Tiger has always been sweet and gentle, and puts up with Geoffrey very well. Tiger comes to me for affection when I seem to need her most, and I think she's happy here.

Sammy Crockford

Sammy Crockford

I found Sammy through DCH, he is my perfect match. DCH care as much as you do, that you and your pet are perfect together, Sammy's foster family (the Davies) worked with me to make sure that we would both be happy. There isn't enough space to say how much Sammy means to me. I can say that the love and work of the Davies and DCH put in made it possible and Sammy and I will both be forever thankful.

Wild Thing

Wild Thing

We fell in love with Wid Thing as soon as we saw his little lopsided, scared face on DCH's website. He wasn't friendly and hated to be touched or picked up, but we knew we had to have him. Through perseverance and unconditional love (and an abundance of food)3 years on WT has come around to be a HUGE (literally-8.5kg) personality, playful and (sometimes) loving boy, with the most glorious tail you've ever seen :). Once every few days WT comes in to the bedroom in the morning and climbs up on my chest, purrs as loud as can be and places his paws on my face. It only lasts 5 mins but it is all the reward I need for the difficult times when he didn't want to be touched. It hasn't been easy but I think WT was meant for us. Along with my husband, he is the love of my life!

Tinkerbell

Tinkerbell

This is Tinkerbell we adopted and has proven to be quite a character. As you can see she has come along way and loves being bathed and having her hair done and getting dressed up.
She just loves humans and always comes running to you.
We are very grateful to be able to give her a loving home and she has now become a very special part of our mixed family.
Thankyou to DCH you do a wonderful job.

Larry ( formerly Chucky when i picked him up)

Larry ( formerly Chucky when i picked him up)

I came to the place where Larry ( than named Chucky) was staying. hadnt sat down for more than a minute and he came right up and sat on my lap. How could i say no after that. He was all shaved and a little malnourished still, as he had arrived in quite a state to DCH carers. But in no time at all and as you can see from the pictures he was returned to the giant fluff ball status that he deserved. I cannot recommend enough to folks looking for a pet to try DCH. Larry is the best! Long Live Larry! thank you DCH

Tangelo (Bella)

Tangelo (Bella)

I got this lovely girl when she was just a kitten. Tangelo is kind natured and a good companion. She has helped me through some rough periods in my life but she has been ever faithful and a strong member of our family.
She absolutely loves my old girl Pushca me they have become great friends. Loves cuddles and just wants to climb into your life.

Bindi

Bindi

Bindi was adopted in January 2004 aged 15 months, 11 years later and nearly 13 she has been a gentle, loving, loyal, occasionally quite mischievous and much loved Fur-child. Austin, my other dog, and she adore each other and have grown up together, he being just 6 months younger. The unconditional love I have received has been so humbling and I am so lucky that she came into my life.

Opi

Opi

I adopted Opi from DCH in 2010, he was a little furry kitten with different coloured eyes and so placid, he allowed himself to be carried all around Windsor shops being pat by everyone we came across and he is still that placid boy but a lot bigger, his favourite things in the world are eating and sleeping although at times he gets a burst of energy and tears around the house knocking down everything in sight:) The whole experience was so positive that I have been a DCH carer myself taking in cats and kittens for quite a few years and have found it so rewarding, I still cry bucket loads of tears saying goodbye to my charges but take in heart in knowing they have their forever homes and will be loved. If you have ever considered being a foster carer don't delay it will be one of the most amazing rides of your life.
