Lupa

Lupa

Leonberger x Pyrenean Mountain - female - 8 years and 6 months

The beautiful Miss Lupa is sadly in need of a new home for her retirement years.

After 8 years she has suddenly developed a dislike for her owner’s 15 year old staffy girl, who is quite frail, quite possibly she is re-acting to the staffy being unwell. Her owner understandably needs to put the staffy first and thus sadly needs a new home for Lupa.

Lupa has otherwise always been good with other dogs. She is a bit shy meeting new people but quickly warms up to them, including kids (this can be quite typical of the breed). It is unknown what she is like with cats, but she does not chase Roos. She loves swimming, going to the park and is fine with vet visits. she is desexed and passed a vet check very recently.

Ideally a home for her would be one experienced with big dogs, with no other girl dogs to be on the safe side - perhaps a male of similar size would be ok. She is currently located in the ACT. Please contact me if you think you are the right home for this beautiful senior girl and I will put you in touch with her owners for a meet and greet.

Coco

Coco

Boston Terrier - female - 1 year and 2 months

Coco is a ball of energy! A testament to the Boston Terrier breed standard of "lively and intelligent," Coco loves playing with dogs of all sizes, going for walks, playing with toys and following you around the house.

Coco had only just turned 12months old. She had a great life with her family who bought her as a puppy, but unfortunately a family illness has meant she is looking for a new forever home with another doggy playmate or two!

Coco is already desexed and up to date with her vaccinations, de-fleaing and worming, and absolutely loves getting into her harness to go for car rides, adventures and walks.

She loves sneaking inside the house and running around the house to find a yummy sandle to have a munch on, and is cautious of the resident kittens who like to swipe at her and remind her who's boss in the house (it's the felines!).

Coco is crate trained and used to peeing on puppy pee pads if penned in a small area inside overnight, so will be easy to toilet train. Otherwise she is happy to sleep outdoors as well as long as she has a warm, insulated kennel.

Coco is being fostered in Riverstone, NSW and would love to meet you!

Coco has been in foster care since 03 April 2024, for 1 month

Skye

Skye

Domestic short hair - female - 3 months and 1 weeks

Skye is a very special kitten and is looking for an extraordinary family to love her. She came into DCH care with her mama (Sabrina) and 6 siblings, all suffering from cat flu. Whilst Skye was one of 4 siblings who survived cat flu with mama, she suffered permanent blindness in her left eye, and was also born with cerebellar hypoplasia (aka "wobbly cat syndrome"), a rare neurological disorder that causes swaying while standing or walking/running. However, the disorder is not progressive nor contagious, and she is perfectly fine in every other way.

Skye is playful, affectionate, sweet and obviously a warrior. She has plenty of spirit and personality and never lets her physical challenges get her down. She loves climbing cat trees, playing with her siblings and kitten toys (such as balls and plushies), and coming in for cuddles and snuggles.

She loves wet and dry kitten food. She is toilet-trained on pellets and crystals. She is respectful of furniture, clothes and shoes. She is fantastic with other kittens, cats, children and adults. She is quiet and incredibly inspiring to live with - she never lets anything get her down.

Skye will be available to join her forever home in August 2024 after she has an operation to remove her blind eye (she needs to be 6 months for the operation to have a best chance of success). Looking after Skye is just like looking after a normal kitten. She is strong, can see clearly in her other eye and is getting better at controlling her wobbliness.

If you are looking for an extraordinary kitten who is sweet, affectionate, playful, and brave, Skye would love to meet you.

Skye has been in foster care since 25 February 2024, for 2 months

    DSH - female - 3 months and 3 weeks

MIRROR MIRROR ON THE WALL WHO IS THE SWEETEST OF THEM ALL ???

Well that would be little Juno . Without a doubt one of the loveliest sweetest kittens I have ever had in care. Juno was found with her sister Cookie in a box on the side of the road , they are both just lovely.

Juno can be a little reserved around strangers but once comfortable her beautiful personality shines through.

Juno has been raised in care with other adult cats and 2 dogs and she is fine with all of them.

She is a champ when it comes to litter training but can be fussy when it comes to food I guess she likes what she likes.

Juno and cookie have been a delight to have in care and they are going to make a wonderful companions .

    Daisy

    Daisy

    Dogue de Bordeaux x - female - 1 year and 2 months

Hi, my name is Daisy and I’m so glad you stopped to check out my profile.

Firstly, let me introduce myself. I am a six month old Staffy Cross puppy who is looking for her perfect home, but before we get too acquainted, settle in and let me tell my story

When I was a young whippersnapper, I was dumped in a park with my brothers and sisters as well as my mum. My brothers and sisters were found in a box with my mum close by I was so scared, not knowing what was going to happen to us until a nice lady came and found us and took us all to the local animal shelter.

We were all placed into a lovely foster carers home where we were all adopted by great loving families. My new home was fantastic and I really loved it but unfortunately my new owner could no longer keep me and I was sent back to foster care and so here we are.

I love going for walks and I get on well with other dogs although I am also happy to be by myself.
I walk Well on a lead, but sometimes I get excited and I try to jump up, but my foster carers are teaching me to have nice manners, it’s just that sometimes I forget

I love going for long drives, and I’m quite happy to sit in the backseat and not make a sound, I’m also 100%, toilet trained and I would never ever poop in your house.

I’m desperately trying to find a new home with someone that would love me as much as my brothers and sisters have found great homes, so if you would like to come meet me, then please contact my foster carers.
I hope to meet you soon. Love Daisy.

Daisy has been in foster care since 11 September 2023, for 8 months

    Lincoln

    Lincoln

    Staffy x - male - 11 months and 3 weeks

Unfortunately Lincoln hasn't had the best start in life, he was found with another dog very emaciated and in need of urgent care. After coming into Foster Care with us he has put on much needed weight and his personality has shone through.

Lincoln is a very gentle, sweet dog that has a fun but calm nature. He has been good with other dogs while in care and is now ready to find the Forever Home he deserves.

Lincoln currently weighs in at 10kg and we don't think he will grow much more if at all. He is a young, beautiful dog and at around 9 months old he has his whole life to look forward to.

Lincoln is located in Londonderry 2753

    Sponsorship Required
Due to his poor start to life and being so underweight Lincoln has had to have more vet attention than most to rule out any underlying conditions. He also required some baby teeth to be extracted. His vet fees have come to $1,007 and we are seeking sponsorship to cover some of these additional expenses.

Lincoln has been in foster care since 09 March 2024, for 2 months

    Sebastian

    Sebastian

    DSH - male - 1 year and 10 months

Sebastian is an extremely shy, loving and very smoochy boy, looking for his Forever Person. Please contact me if you are confident with cats and have the patience to wait for the trust of this big, beautiful boy. (It is so worth it! 😻)

Sebastian and his sister, Scarlett, are from a litter of 4 x kittens that were rescued from street life in 2022.

Sebastian is an absolutely stunning 5.7kg tabby and white young man, who is active, cheeky and affectionate. He also thinks he is a lap cat! Sebastian will come running when I click my fingers as he knows that means food time… or pats and cuddles! And he has discovered he LOVES the brush, so now it is a nightly ritual!

BUT THE CATCH... to see and have this companionship...you will have to wait patiently until Seb understands that he can trust you. If you come to meet him, he may hide!

Sebastian has come such a long way in foster care and he will need a confident adopter to initially provide the right space for him to thrive. However, his natural curiosity and love of food means that Sebastian will always overcome his fear eventually, if he is allowed the time to trust his surroundings. Once that happens, you'll have a loving and affectionate friend for life!

Seb adores head rubs, back rubs, belly rubs, and he is such a smooch, he will headbutt you for more (watch the video!). Sebastian is also very sociable with other foster/resident cats and the resident (large) dogs.

The reduced $160 adoption fee includes:

  • Microchipping,
  • Worming/flea-treatment,
  • Vaccination,
  • Desexing
  • So he lives his best and longest life, Sebastian must also be an INDOOR ONLY cat (but of course this can include access to a secure outdoor catio or enclosure).

Please use the "Send enquiry email" link below, if you have any questions or if you are interested in meeting Sebastian. Just include in your email, your experience with cats, and why you’re genuinely interested in adopting Sebastian.

PLEASE NOTE: I no longer receive phone calls/messages from unknown mobiles, but I will contact you as soon as I receive your email enquiry.

  • If you are renting, please ensure that you have written approval to keep a cat BEFORE you lodge interest.
  • You must be an Australian Citizen, over 18 years old, to adopt an animal, and, for a kitten, also be prepared to look after it for up to 20years! 😻
  • In the current economic climate, please also consider annual vet fees and future feeding costs before committing to adopt

  • Sebastian has been in foster care since 18 October 2022, for 1.6 years

    Daisy

    Daisy

Domestic Short Hair - female - 5 months and 3 weeks

Daisy should have been named Dennis-the-menace as she is the most playful kitten her foster carer has come across!
She is constantly running around the house, jumping on toys, wrestling the resident cat, climbing onto the indoor pot plants, batting at your toes and loving life. She is a super energetic cat and LOVES playing...whether it's chasing toys, climbing the scratching tree, swiping at feathers or jumping on your head as you sleep.

Daisy likely won't be a super snuggly, cuddly type of cat, but she will have a snooze beside you, and you can pick her up for a smooch and a cuddle....she would just rather be active and playing! She starts purring instantly whenever you pat her, and she will definitely keep you entertained with her antics.

Because of her outgoing personality she must be rehomed to a household with an existing cat, and a strictly indoor only home. (She would be a proficient hunter and decimate wildlife if allowed outside!) Daisy is going through a phase of playing and trying to wrestle with your hand so is better suited to a home without young children at this time.

Daisy has never had a toileting accident and always uses her litter tray, and we're teaching her to use her scratching post consistently. She is available to meet and greet in Riverstone, NSW and will be able to go to her new home as soon as she is desexed.

Daisy has been in foster care since 06 March 2024, for 2 months
