Wish List

DCH is run entirely by volunteers and receives no government funding. This means that funding resources is an ongoing issue for us. Below is our Wish List of much needed items that will help us to keep on rescuing. If you can help by providing any of these items please contact us, we'd love to hear from you.

Donations

Many of our rescue animals come into care needed extra veterinary attention due to past neglect and the harsh environment of the pound. Your donations towards these animals is vital as our adoption fees don't cover this additional expenses. Visit our Sponsorship page to see which animals are currently in need.

Food

Food is one the biggest expenses our volunteer carers face in housing our rescue pets. We can always use donations of quality dry food for both dogs and cats and also wet food, particularly for kittens. We're also very happy to accept donations of fresh mince or chicken too. We have carers right throughout Sydney, Blue Mountains and Wollongong. Contact us and we can direct you to the closest carer to you to drop off any food donations.

Flea treatments

We are always in need of flea treatments for our dogs and cats. Each rescue animal is given a flea treatment immediately upon arrival and then ongoing until rehomed. Quality spot-on flea treatments are one of our biggest expenses. We desperately need donations of in-date products for small and big dogs, kittens and adult cats. Worming

We are always in need of worm treatments for our dogs and cats. Each rescue animal is given a worm treatment immediately upon arrival and then ongoing until rehomed. This means we go through a lot of wormer each year. Donations of in-date worm treatments are very appreciated. Shampoo

Some of our rescue animals come into care with skin conditions that require the use of medicated shampoo's like malaseb or Phyohex. Donations of in-date products are very appreciated. Contact us to arrange drop off close to you or you can post to 44 Dingle St Riverstone NSW 2765

Storage Shed

We have need for a storage unit in the Hills/Hawkesbury area of Sydney. Something about the size of a single garage that is secure and can be used to house crates and cages and promotional materials when not in use. Contact 1300-88-93-40 if you can help.
